Mark,
hello mate
yeah the standard lights were supposed to get back on,i think it looks better, still the other ones doesnt look that bad i think..i think it gets a fresh look.

for the summer..i will most likely get other wheels for the car..like all my other cosworths through the years ive always had wheels that not everyone else has..so i am twisting my brain on what wheels to put onbut i have some pinpoints though

cheers for lookin mate

heypeople

just wanted to bring you a little update
the focus is now stored away for the winter..and i polised the car,and had a cleanup inside and in engine bay before the "blanket" went on the car

and i also have got my hands on a factory brand new focus rs steering wheel..and im well chuffed with that.its gonna be a nice addition to the car since its allready quite mint overall

hope you enjoy the pics

finished polishing the car,and ready to get the cover on

just getting some fresh air in the car

and...i found out that the car has folding mirrors...hehe it took a while to find it out obviouslyquite handy when in storage

factory brand new original steering wheel

hey
here it is...my LITTLE BIG update

as you can see from the pics...there is quite a lot of nerdy upgrades.
like uprated thermostat housing..new windscreenwasher switch with interval ,and a factory brand new steering wheel...aaand as you can see ..i had to clean up even on the clockspring(the airbag contact thingy)hehe...but.anyways...enjoy the picsmore to come pretty soon

first of all ...resirc dumvalve....to stop the car from stalling in towards junctions and stuff..that together with the Mil cheater on the rear lambda sensor...it runs perfect all the time..no stalling,no mil light..so its all goodbut one question..i think i maybe have mounted the dumpvalve the wrong way around...any suggestions?....i mounted it not like the standard setup on the cosworth..for some reason...but...suggestions please

hehe i like both i have to say..
the main reason i like the amber ones is because of the 3door sierra cosworth vibe...the other reason is that i think it looks more whole if you know what i mean...i mean..the rears has got amber repeaters...so i always thought it is weird havin different repeaters from front to back..

but these ive bought sucks..they started to show sign of not beeing waterproof...which bothers me..so now i have to get another set,,and this time in gonna go for ford ones..not aftermarket ones.

and im also gonna buy brand new white ones.

Hi you posted that you have fitted a uprated thermostat housing? still looks lke a std one to me. Reason I ask is the wifes car non RS has been leaking.

I have seen the alloy type but at Ł300 that's to expensive for a normal focus lol

hey mate

well..its uprated in that sense that it has a one piece design,,or it is not two pieces that is molded together

usually it is the lower part of the thermostat housing that starts to leak in the seam...

this one i got..that you can order from http://www.carpartsexpress.co.uk/For...3-241-648-500/
is a one piece design, and will not start to leak like the standard ones do.

its originally an SVT part....american tuned focus.

ive seen the alloy type aswell..but did not want that kind of parts on my car.

When you did the timing belt how did you lock the bottom end up. Did you loosen the cam pulleys too.

Cheeers mate

i borrowed some locking tools from ford..but if i recall correctly..i did not need the crank tool, as the crank pulley was NOT loose on the crank...there was the groove in the crank with the "locking halfmoon" in it..so i just made shure the timing was correct by checking the top dead centre.
and yes..i loosend the cam pulleys as well..that is quite essential when timing the timing belt.
