Great pick up tell me where did you get the ideas like the bulkhead and the bonnet strip .neil
Ive seen other trucks with the bonnet strip removed and badges removed and thought it would look mean, being black. The bulkhead had so many holes drilled in it for wires ect it looked a mess.So i welded them up and filled it.There were also lots of holes drilled in the inner wings for the wiring ect,so done the same with them. The wiring can be hidden easily.I had a 69 firebird a few years back and the only wire you could see was to the alternator,so i will do the same to this truck.cheers Paul
Best model! Bet it will sound the bollocks with the big block V8!
An yeah I remember us having the wings up here, there massive! Was surprised how good condition they were. Definitely worth while getting one imported from the US!
Look forward to seeing this when it's all done!
Cheers Luke.Everything on this truck is big and heavy.
There are 2 bits of rust on the whole truck and they are only 6" long by 1" wide on the rear bed.It does help getting one from a dry state in the usa,as i have seen some that are very very rotten.
It has flowmaster exhausts fitted at the moment but will be removing the boxes for extra loudness lol.
ps its a small block v8,
atb paul
That's gonna look the nuts when it's finished, I can see that you've put a lot of hours in so far, we do classic American resto's at work and it's very time consuming to get it right, keep up the top work & keep the pics coming

Thanks alot mate.Your right about a lot of hours as it is time consuming as you no.cheers paul
Love it! Got a real soft spot for stepside's! What's it like sourcing parts for them? Do you have to look to the states for everything or is it a case of fabbing stuff up?

You can buy everything and i mean everything from a nut and bolt to the cab and chassis. You can buy mechanical and service parts over here no problem.
