Ok been a while but ive decided to strip the underside, not going for a blinged up underside its just purely preventative maintenance, bare metal to remove and rust from getting worse, and powder coat the rusty bits

Jacked it up and put it on axel stands, removed the wheels and bumpers

Its not toooo bad atm, this is inside the front wheel arch where they rot

Make sure you get in behind that sealer under the front arches as the water gets trapped, well worth doing and yours doesn't look too bad at all

Ok so this has got me puzzled, why has sombody fitted a different rear Anti Roll Bar(ARB)? im asuming this isnt standard 3door.

It looks like there can be 2 fixings for the ARB the original then these extra one that have been welded on

Standard and a blurry picture of the other ones

Looks like this has been added, im sure its not standard

https://passionford.com/forum/ford-s...-mounting.html

might see if I can find a 22mm and see whats best between to 16mm and 22mmm

Not much of a update on the car, still removing underseal, and still need to findout how that fuel line unconnects.

Just wanted to mention some essential equipment for the job

Number one is taking the car to bits, I bet this has saved may rounded bolts and skinned knuckles
Name: 20131127_175607_zps02b4a8f5.jpg
Views: 434
Size: 160.5 KB

Number two, removing the underseal causes alot of dust, dirt, smoke and noise. So PPE

I did exactly the same to my 3 Door mate so I could fit a Escos 22mm rear ARB, looks like they have done it the same as me by cutting the mountings off a sapp shell and welding them on if done properly once it's undesealed and painted it looks factory.
