no mate... cos strangely enough i HAVE NOT touched anything to do with the tank etc... that vid link at the bottom of the picture was taken - AFTER i cut the back end off. so again, the running ability is perfectly fine. all i had to do was move the battery and fuse box to the inside of the car rather than in the boot. so i repeat, the car still runs. i wont get to the point of NOT having the car running till the very last thing, like when i stripped thae capri down, i always made sure it was still able to run and move and even then ive never had a dead car when doing the engine and susp work for more than a matter of days, why? because i need it running as often as possible! and THAT is NOT a CHEAP engine and gearbox to have stood about for very long.

for the last time, im simply REDUCING the merc down to JUST the suspension and top mounts and bulkheads, SOME of the floor pan i.e the box and prop tunnel and the engine bay (INNER walls and mounts).
THATS IT im not using anything else. so really, it WILL be a capri with, oh look, different suspension and engine. nothing more. ill still have to get an inspection or whatever, but the body of the capri is already and has been for many years,
ROAD LEGAL. whoever cannot understand this now, well what can i say...

chop a big section out of the middle of the merc and shorten the prop. the wings and arches will be widened.

What Capri body are you putting on it? Not that mad max black one? In all fairness I take my hat of to you this isn't an easy task and to do it well will only be proven in the coming months!
But why? If you like capris why not but a brooklands if your doing it right surely you'll be getting upto that figure?

if the body is gonna be CUT OFF anyway - why am i supposed to give a rats ass wether i cut the back end off ,NOW, to have to fit it in the garage in the MEANTIME? think about it..
and yes, its the ONLY capri i want. again, i have alot of cutting and welding and a few more changes to make to that body before i start throwing money at it for a flashy sprayjob....
you do know the difference between the Merc LIMOUSINE and the capri dont you? i.e the SMALL differenc in length.. which brings me back to ask why do i have comments on me having cut off a CAPRI backend...?!

tbh treacle i have read most of your other thread and didn't agree with a lot of the somewhat harsh comments directed at you, instead i thought to myself "she certainly has got her work cut out but fair play for having a go".But obviously you have neither a sense of humour judging by your first `reply` ,manners,or a clue of what of the massive undertaking you have embarked upon
look forward to seeing both cars in the scrapyard some time soon

Can't wait to see how it ends up,you never know it could be a masterpeice....
Meanwhile I shall observe from afar but I am sure I am to be the recipient of some 'clever rebuttal' though.
