That auld girl has seen a bit of action in her life. Was it used on forestry roads? REPSOL would be nice

Awesome car. I hope you have a plumbing diagram for all those hoses !

As for the colour black always looks stunning but shows up the marks too quick I guess

a nice bright deep red will look nice
paint it in yellow first to really bring the red out though
add some carbon fibre

job done

ive always liked the michelin liveried wrc and the paint job like the rs200's used to have with the diagonal blue/white lines

Lovely car

Is the green pot on the oil manifold pressurised (nitrogen?) to keep oil pressure ?

Your missus is fit!

As for the car, its not really in that bad a shape really, underneath has had a bit of a beating though, but great you're going for a full rebuild.

As for colour, I personally think it should never change from white, which makes it easier to put vinyl ideas on it. Here's a few after a search anyway...

Black

Yellow

Green

Silver

Gold (not a WRC)

Red (not a WRC)

Personal favourite!

Lovely car romain, being a proper works ex juha car I would paint it pure white and sticker any colour scheme on top, that was when you come to sell, it's a simple case of put the original graphics back on and sell it as a ex works juha car, I think that would make most money with its history

I look forward to the updates!

We have just started on our own active wrc car, it's unreal how much pipe work and wiring there is in one of these cars!

Can't wait to see more. Red would be my option. Search for guy woodcock on Google. It's an escort maxi but gives you an idea.

i have a sneaky feeling this car was belonging to the late frank meagher irish tarmac rally driver about 10 or so years ago, it came into his garage as an ex kankunnen car with a damaged rear qtr when juha damaged it i think on the monte or some other tarmac rally

am i mad thinking this or is this the car i saw in tipperary in frank meaghers garage all those years ago????????

D sport, mark jasper had that car which chris woods rebuilt for him, and he had a brand new wrc engine from ourselves for it. He crashed it and it got rebuild and sold to a collector. I think it's now back in the juha/ford colour scheme

Should stay white, as Jim says. Certainly looks like it's been used, but I'm a great believer in keeping these cars as they were built. So many have been messed with now, so I think they should be preserved myself!

I understand what your saying romain, I do like the grey interior with different colour outside, and if it wasn't a proper ford wrc car I would say go for it. Each to their own though, it's your car

Hope you don't paint it like Stian Hafsengen's, there's already one replica on the go, so don't really want to steal his thunder or make too many replica's of an iconic car

Like Jimbo says, stick to white, you can't ever go wrong with it
