Winter project fiesta evo changes
well , here goes
had the car for a wee while now , done some repairs to get it going when i bought it ,
have driven it a couple of times now and all seems well , so time to put my mark on it and make some changes and upgrades
1st will be strip of body kit , drop out engine and box , again then off for colour change @ M J racing
made a start tonight
once engine and box are out , front lsd will be sent for rebuild , some mods to sump required
couple of other wee jobs and put back together with new gearbox
got this last week , samsonas dogbox , was fitted new in a time atack evo in june , went to ten of the best and then parked
so practicaly brand new , with the sequential shifter this should make a big difference , going to get ecu reprogramed for flat shifting , looking forward to this as always had a thing for a sequential box , this will be a close as it gets
so there you go a wee start made anyway

It's good to see you putting your own stamp on it. Was the box that was it a standard 1 with a ikeya shifter, also are you getting Dave EPS Motorsport to map it again?

car has standard box and quckshift just now , the ikea came with the dogbox
dave's maps are still in ecu at present , had a quick run up on rollers and all is still well

i know about engine failure , and evo starvation issues , dry sump is obviously the answer
but cant be done on this car due to front subframe , which covers where pump would go and standard sump already has cut out to pass subframe
the standard sump that came on car was cut to go round subframe and extended in depth
it was piss poor tbh
ive done another with alot less cut out and its nearly there gong by data logging
i intend to do a bigwing this time round baffled and gated ,hopefully that will do the job
hopefully i can solve the couple of reliabilty issues and get a bit of running out the car next year
as for going to next level , if nothing else i'm game for a laugh anyway

my big mate dalsy came round today to lend a hand taking out engine and box
stripped off oil and power steering coolers etc so i can get the inner wings and headlamp panels painted to tidy things a bit
all in a good day , should be going to paint start of the week then i'll set about engine and box

Good work there John. I had seen exterior pictures of the car before, but never under the bonnet. Looks like some serious suspension and subframe work has been done to it.

keeping grey inside and under bonnet , frozen white on the outside ,
bonnet and roof will be matt black or carbon wrap + hopefully carbon roof vent
rear spoiler is carbon already , wheels gloss black
will be some graphics going on aswell , but no decided what or colour yet

car has been at MJ RACING all week getting bodywork sorted , new arches modified to fit better and all repairs as req'd , looks like its not far away from a lick of paint now
been doing a wee bit myself while its away , got transfer and gearbox off engine
transfer stripped and lsd gone for refurb
sump off and waiting for mods , baffled and gated
also couple of other bits and bobs , here you go anyway

car is now back home and painted
couple of the lads came round last night to lend a hand , and a few beers
new windows arrived , keeping the rest out to graphics go on
