Default moonstone 3 door tidy supra diff, zeitronix, rota gtr's

hi. i decided why finish one project when i can just start another. i recently bought this. it didnt come with an engine or wheels & needed a good tidy up. im not doing anything fancy, just a bit of paint & some powdercoating. i plan on using it all year round in any weather so i cant see the point in a painted floor

I thought that car had only just been painted (outside not under bonnet)

What spec engine will you be going for ?

Good luck with the build up

the car was just painted. im just painting under the bonnet & the door shuts. i replaced one of the wings as it had been replaced many years ago & not painted inside so was going crusty. also someone (possibly freddie kruger by the looks of it) had butched the return lip off. for the sake of Ł30 a new wing was fitted & painted

engine will be standard internally. probably have a t34 + greys or greens. nothng special, just low maintance, reliable & useable which is the theam for the whole car

Standard engine with a T34 and a set of 55Ib Siemens would see a nice car to use daily - mine on both 803 & 403 was no where near as good as 55Ib

BRAMMER what sort of power and economy are you getting from that set up, mine will be hybrid t3 and greens, but if your set up is better as you say maybe a change??

done a little more over the last couple of days. picked up the powder coating, finished tapeing the loom. got some new brake pipe clips, fitted the abs pump & block. i painted the header tank & power steering tank wrinkle black but im not happy with the finish, so ill either do them again or just get them powder coated

had the powder coating done in meatllic grey. i just though it would be nice as all the powder coating was done black on my saff

the original loom clips were broke so i replaced them with cable tie mounts

Thats not what i'm running now, when i did i ran 55's on a T38 and it was pretty good on power 440 and still good for 20-25mpg - i would say Siemens are loads better on any spec

looks nice mate, dont jetwash the seats, it loosens the dirt in the foam underneath and it soon seeps through to the top again plus they will start to smell soon after, i strip the seats and put the cloth in the washing machine they come out like brand new, only takes half hour to strip the seats too

cheers. very easy to do the bolsters. just remove the seat reclining winder, remove the plastic cover. there is a clip to remove from the dowel that holds th back of the seat to the base. you can then remove the material (its only clipped along the base. then remove the foam & fitting is the reverse. takes about 10mins per bolster once the seat is removed
