sure is. well she went on the road last thursday.......on monday the turbo blew up apparently t34's dont like running 38psi. turbo was taken off & sent off to cr turbos on wenesday. got it back on saturday morning so shes back on the road now. still loads of jobs to do but its slowly getting there. its just nice to be able to drive it about. oh the welded diffs loads of fun but cant see the tyres lasting long (or my licence) so anyway, heres some pics

the breather tank only had 16mm inlets & i wanted 19mm so a mate of a mate milled some very nice pipes & someone else (the same guy that did alot of alloy fab work on rosies cossy mk3 escort) welded them on

Good of £30, don't think I would like the £265 of the other repo one. Hope bumper comes out ok the real ones are far to much money now. Glad I bought a new one a few years ago along with splitters when Brooklyn ford had them all remanufactured. They were looking into header tanks at the time as well but unfortunately it didn't come off.

came very close to loosing the car today to fire. the fitting at the bottom of the fuel pressure regulator came undone & was pissing huge amounts of fuel all over the dizzy cant believe how luck i am that it didnt go. i wouldnt even want to imagine how it would feel to stand there helplessly & watch it burn!!! LUCKY ESCAPE
anyway, this week ive managed to get the fibreglass rs500 bumper painted. the quality of the bumper was poor, but i didnt expect to to be very good considdering that it only cost £80 delivered. nothing that couldnt be easly sorted. both sides of the bumper were made in to parts (probably to get it out of the mould easyer) & wernt lined up correctly & stuck out. i had to ass a couple of layers of fiberglass to the back to make it thicker so i could grind down the front to make it flush. it was then filled & sanded. i didnt have time to trial fit so went staright in with the paint. i could do with a little more tweeking then painting again but ill do that at a later date. it cost £80 for the bumper & £20 for some fiberglass so in all impretty happy.

i painted the back matt black then let it get covered in moonstone overspray. thought it would look better like this rather than white fiberglass

I think i know who makes them bumpers, there hard work! I bought a pair of vents that were p*ss poor.

Put you bumper irons as low as they will go to lift the bumper up to the grille and that should also give you straigh line on the arches too.

You should be proud! She looks stunning! If my P100 comes out half as good ill be over the moon(stone).

i got the bumper 'new' secondhand on ebay. i believe its the one that normally retails for £120 delivered. as i said the quality is piss poor but as i only paid £80 deliverd its not a problem. the bumper irons are as low as they can go but i can elongate the holes with a grinder to get a little more lift. the gap between the bumper & wings is huge but that not difficult to fix with fibergalss. ill sort it at a later date when i have time

I know you have put a lot of effort into the bumper, but it unfortunately is a poor copy and spoils all the other work you have done to the car. I would refit original bumper and try to find a better repo bumper if you can, original would be best but to expensive now. Other than that the car is superb.

cheers for the honesty guys. the front bumper is staying lol. when i get time im will cut the middle bar & straighten it & i will do quite a bit to work around the top of the bumper to get a nicer fit round the grill & wings.

If you can get some support inside it to keep it level and get it to lift at the front and meet the arches better then it will probably be ok, could you not get a standard sierra bumper and use the inner frame with this skin on it, should offer lots of support then.

the middle bar is straight untill the sides are bolted on then the tension caused it to bow upwards. its just a case of cutting it & re fiberglassing it whilst its on the car to get it straight.

bit of an update. a couple of weeks ago i had a bit of an 'incident' involving the rear wheel and a kerb. the kerb won & resulted in a fucked wheel & a bent trailing arm/rear beam
whilst the car was off the road i decided to address the clutch problem as it was far to heavy making the car awfull to drive & also almost impossable for my pregnant wife to drive. it has a full ap paddle kit but lockie kindly donated a mint standard pressure plate to use with the ap paddle drive plate. its still a little heavy but much better. gonna try changing the cable & quadrent next.
the damage from the accident wasnt too bad & the car drove home but rather than having negative camber the wheel sat upright. i couldnt actually see what was bent (trailing arm or beam) so i decided replacing the lot. i had a pair of spare arms so modified these & scorced a new beam & sent the lot off to the powdercoaters. unfortunatlly the wheel was fooked. not only was the outside of the rim damaged but the inside also had a wobble, indicating that the spokes must have been slightly bent. there was no choice to bite the bullet an order a new wheel from revolution
the car was put back together yesterday and is fine now & still drives straight
not really sure what to do with the car at the moment. been thinking about selling it as i got a little one due in august so i doubt ill have any spare time to spend on the car for quite some time after that
anyway heres a few pics
