Default teamSPB Porsche 996 build!!

Thought I would show you what I have been working on and tucked up in the garage at the moment, a Porsche 996!!

Now, the purpose of this build is to purely add some more depth to the system considering the standard speakers are only 4" front and back!

The kit already in the car was a Pioneer AVIC D3 headunit which was fitting SHOCKINGLY! (ill show the wiring behind the headunit later!)...I cant believe people out there would fit things to such shocking levels! Especially in such a prestigious/sports car!

What I will be adding is a JL Audio 1000/1 and 2 JL Audio W3 6" subs, as well as sorting out the wiring thats already in the car!

Some pics of the vehicle!

My playground for a week or 2!

Once the build is complete, ill be detailing the car if the weather finally holds off long enough!

Let the build commence!!

Will be good to see what you can fit in there without it looking too cluttered, the Porsche option Bose box that fits behind the rear seats isnt the best for sound.

Do a search for jmg porsche! Look on the shop and look for the audio upgrade!, a kit that replaces the original speakers but still look original and factory also do active bass units for discreet fitting

Seen those kits and to be honest they are pretty bad!

We did discuss upgrading the door speakers etc, but for the scope of what he wanted, there was no point.

I already have an upgrade available for the Porsche's which are a MASSIVE improvement over stock...but all down to what you want to spend on audio...

I will even go as far as building custom door cards etc should it be required to fit bigger drivers, as no matter what 4" driver you use, you will still lack alot of mid-bass...hence in this install...the stock speakers remain and the 6.5" subs provide plenty of kick as well as playing down to around 35hz no problem
