Team dynamic Pros (18x8) but cast so I dont need a plastis spigiot ring and steel inserts (a more srtrong version of the road version) with an offset of 11

Needed some wheels for the weekend after the mess up at team dynamics.

So Guy Woodcock to the rescue.

Fair play but proper welding finishes any competition car off. Besides, people like to see a proper prepared car and a cage is not something you can just lash together. (Not saying it is lashed just could be nicer)

Richard

Will post a few pics up of the other white one later.

The dash idea was taken from the old works mk1 escorts as they ran with a twin dash.

On some of the rally cross cars i have looked at that fitting appears to be a steel tyre/wheel valve with the end cut off welded into the tank, i assume to be used as a manual pressure relief valve?

I have recently been informed it was used to pre pressureise the system which will increase the boiling point of water and help to stop cavitation.

That makes more sense, so as said its just a metal tyre valve cut down and welded in, just unscrew the valve before welding so as not to melt/distort the spring and screw back in once welded

The car wont get its log book if the welds are of a poor appearance. Poor appearance often equals poor welds, it says something along those lines in the msa blue book. I can see pits and gaps and poor penetration,
Is the cage T45 or CDS and what wire did you use?

p.s. I'm not having a go at you. Your fab work and the finish on everything else is top notch, its just i can see you running into problems with the logbook.
