Default My 2wd sapphire - (update) Engine in ready for a MAD touch

Finally decided to take the engine somewhere to have it put together properly!
so pulled it out and took it to Joe at Bluesprint who has been an absolute diamond.

I only managed to get a few pics of it apart

heres whats been done

6 x long studs
Cosworth 7.6:1 pistons
Block has had slight hone still on standard
Crank has had grind on mains
New exhaust valve guides
All new gasket set
And a good clean up

He has also machined the inlet cam ready for a cam pick up sensor so i can totally remove the distributor.

Joe also took the time to mill me a new de restricted trumpet for the T4

So I'll be back down there thursday/friday to see it run in and checked on his bench dyno and then time to stick it back in the car

When its back together it will be time to start the interior and get the rear gaz golds on and maybe look at a light resto on the underside, it never ends

Will add to this as it goes on

Well the inlet is a restriction so not really gonna see more than 450, so gonna drop down from 83lbers to 55's for the moment until I get some money together for a heart inlet and new intercooler!

Very neat, that should do you for a while, and thats plenty of power too. what kind of price did it cost to have done PM if preferred.

Was only 'run in' on the engine dyno, if I had a power run done it would have been on joe's P8 rather than my Link so no real point!
