ok so far i have an injection engine and all components for it wiring loom etc
i am currently in the process of rebuilding the engine new gaskets seals etcc

this is my question
i am lowering the compression
and have bought a set of cosworth pistons but i have no conrods

i have in my garage 2.8 v6 pistons and conrods from an xr4i

are these similar?
and will they work with my cosworth pistons to lower my compression?

pictures below

i havent updated this in a wile
i know now that thw v6 conrods are totally different and i just built my pinto together standard i dont know how this will react to the turbo

ok so in these pictures you will see i have bought myself a set of escos wheels
sets her off nicely i think and you will also see that the old engine is out and waiting on the injection baby going in

cosworth powersteering rack now in the car one turn and your full lock
the bottom half of the dash is out so i can rewire the engine bay to suit my engine
if you look closely you can see the 3 boost gauges on the dash which i gave cossie 09 Ł100 for way over priced
so far the car is two steps forward one step back

I've checked your thread before and I'm following your build too, I'm just not a big poster around here so haven't posted anything before.

But yea it looks like you're doing a decent progress with it I'll be very interested to see how it will turn up. BTW I really like those Escos wheels.

What engine management are you planning to run? Like you can see from my thread the EEC-IV works fairly good with some boost after fiddling around with it but I'd suggest to go for something better like Megasquirt.

Like I said already the stock Pinto should (at least should) take the boost nicely, should have some cheap fun potential in it so if you plan to build the stock one first just go for it and have some proper right foot fun with it. Give it some nutter driving and don't worry, if it fails at some point it just fix it lol at least that's my motto.

just a quick update im currently working away from home for the next 3 weeks but before i left i put my injection engine in,wired it and had it running although thats all the time i had to do before i had to leave
to finish my car i need
1.)a cosworth header tank
2.)cosworth radiator because mine has a small leak
3.)cosworth fans to match the radiator
4.)some silicone pipes preferably blue
if i had these parts my car would be ready for mot
im excited thinking about it
so if anyone can find these parts for me at a decent price i will send cash

what do you advise?
and too much fuel is good
