Thought I would share with you what we are up to at the mo. Brought this car as a beaten up grey shell. But had three doors so we dragged it home. This is where we are up to at the mo after 6 months trying to get it ready for next years track season.

yea its my mates escort, in our unit, just took a snap, zt will be the power plant, done a mk2 fiesta a few years back, but wanted a better chassis as a platform, so we knew we would do it again with a focus, will get some better/bigger pics up, new to all this downloading stuff

Are they Subaru callipers? Build looks nice and clean, wish my Escort was white, sets a lovely contrast with nice new parts etc.

got the diff built up today and the crown wheel on. we are going for a mondeo 2.0 gear set, going to see how we get on with it for now. shafts all done and painted. bonnet on and pins installed, pics to follow, cheers

just a bit of a update, car is all ready for engine now, just waiting for internals to arrive, fingers crossed will be ready for mapping in jan, cheers guys

Are you using the HKS adjustable top mounts?

no not hks, they were made for a bmw 2002

They look quite identical, so perhaps the same manufacturer. Very hgihly rated those are anyway. Have you driven the car with them on before the whole strip down?

made buy gaz, no only time i have been in the car wheb it was moving, was being dragged by a transit.. -8 inside the car, not fun

Lookin sweet, what cams you planning on using?

yea only for track,sprint,hillclimb, spec is area 6 response cam, keep it on the go, dont want it bogging, its a bit ott for the road, only wired for minimal lighting ect. cheers guys
