MK3 Escort Cab Rebuild
just putting it all back together and getting it original.
maybe of some interest to yis.
Plans to put it back to factory spec, IE black bumpers grill xr3 body kit ect ect
the last owner tuck it on him self to change the engine for a newer escort engine, Carb with ECU. not sure what model.
but he made a hames of it, even tried to make the mk5/6 dash fit in the mk3 hole.
Had to ripe out the whole wiring loom, and start from scratch.
i have the engine bay cleaned up and pained back to white. that just 6 hours work so far.
before i started
after
Tomorrow il be refitting an xr3 wiring loom, get her running, and then put the interior back in.
then il be repainting bumper grill sill ect ect back to standard.
Should be a nice car when done, no rush anywhere which is rare.
Il keep the pics coming

got the side body kit done, and painted the sill black. just need to fix the door.
got the roof retaining wire back in and tight.
and fitted it under the plate to the front, ( was a new skin never finished)
cleaned up the 4 arches, used smoot hamerite, (spelling)
