Love ST's!
We have matching kerbing on the alloy. Well, I decided to swipe a rather tall kerb and screwed it up the spoke as well
Race + makes a world of difference! Good luck with the progress mate.

I couldn't say about the RS, never been in one to compare. But the ST is very capable and everyone has heard how good the RS is so I guess if you were buying brand new or used then might as well get the RS as price wise I don't think they are that far apart, might be wrong though.

Well FordFair was a bit of a disaster to start of with
Got stuck in that massive traffic jam resulting in me missing two of my booked track sessions which made me a tad angry to say the least
Then eventially got out on track and was totally dissapointed in the ST, i knew it wouldn't be as good as my old fiesta but not that bad
It has power and good brakes etc but the steering gives you no real feedback so your just pointing the steering wheel at an apex in blind hope you'll make it, the body roll - although eliminated on the road by the springs - is massively evident on the track and i guess without spending Ł800+ on good coilovers then you'll have to live with it
I got given two free sessions by Simon from Sitech Racing as his car had a fueling issue so off i went and lined up not realising it was the fastest Fords session (if i got in your way i apologise) and just got destroyed by cossie after cossie and generally didn't enjoy the session cos of constantly looking in mirrors for cossies and those silly quick GT-R's. I just skipped the next one as it was an advanced sesh and would just be the same again
Got a good photo in the end though, probably the only good point of the day haha
Sorry for the essay

Dont worry about it mate.
I was pissed of with the nissans too. They seem to be all over the track and to me i thought it was dangerous but no doubt they will be pro drivers.I was out on track but couldnt go over 5k revs cause my fueling was way to lean.
I love track day but its upset my car My tyres are worn my pas rack is pissing out and i think my engine oil leak has got a bit worse than it was.
Lovely car by the way the only thing i dont like about this shape focus is that dull boring horrible triange bit of plastic infront of the front doors.

Looking good Dunc, got some good pics when we were there. Defo think you should leave this for the road and get yourself another Fiesta for the track.

Hi mate, nice car! Race + is meant for a standard car without the 3" downpipe and decat. You'll probably find the DSCi map much better point to point as it doesn't run out of puff at 5000rpm.
I used to run DSCi until i had the full exhaust, air filter and big intercooler. Then I changed to Mod C which was really good. Sadly I sold the car before I could try Mod X

What tyres/pressures were you running at Ford Fair and what steering mode have you got the car in?
Personally I run Paradas - 32psi (nitrogen inflation), sport steering mode - I had this on Eibachs and went around a track really well.
Car then went around with the RARB and coilovers and is now superb - dont be disheartened - try and pickup some second hand coilovers then you can get a bargain upgrade

Just ordered some Compomotive Mo6's in anthracite but they wont be with me for a few weeks from the factory. Doubt they'll be on the car at all this year with the bad weather coming

Ordered some new tyres for this today, Falken FK452's so hopefully will be able to get my comps fitted soon since the worst of the weather seems to have passed now.
Just waiting on my work bonus to come through before i order some new K-Sport 8 pot brakes to fill the gap underneath the comps

One of my front tyres developed a bulge in it that i noticed this morning so made the decision to fit 2 of my Comps with my new Falken FK452 tyres on (other 2 Comps are being made at the factory right now).
Next up is big brakes (K-sport 8 pots) then some more power via RS injectors and a different Map

Car is booked in at Sitech Racing on Thursday 1pm for new injectors, a new map including a bit of live mapping and a full dyno session. Have been told to expect around 325-330hp
RS ECU cover is on its way and should be here tomorrow to tidy the engine bay up a tad
New brakes should be dispatched tomorrow and hopefully get them fitted at the weekend, was a 12 week wait for K-sports so ended up getting some AP 4-Pots
Enjoy, Duncan

So long time no update.
After my trip to Afghanistan the car had just been sat in a car park for 5 months, had a mate running running it too and from work every now and again just to keep it running. It has no MOT and no tax but got a few bits ready to get it sorted.
I decided to get rid of the Decat and go legal with a Sports cat so got this 200 cell sports cat from PTR exhausts
Also got some new Vredestien Ultrac Vorti tyres coming so should be back on the road by the end of next week hopefully

Aye definitely quieter, spent a wee bit of time at Bastion packing stuff up and shutting down facilities... I do not envy anyone who is there at the end at all
