A few more pics. I've only fitted the front as temp just see what it looks realy. But going to remove it again to fit front mount intercooler. Rad and clean up. Also I need to fit the 4x4 bonnet. Painted both so I had a choice. Have been fitting the window seals today. What a pain of job trying to get them to sit right

Well spoted. You wouldn't want to see the inside. Some muppet decided to do a she'd load of filler work on his car next to mine which had the doors of and not masked up. Also coverd the rear seats in bright green over spray
I haven't got a clue how iam going to get it of yet. The misses spent 4 hours on one section of it today bless her and its still visible

Ye bit pissed of about it to be honest. Think the leather is going to be scrap now. Iam aiming for it to be on the road next week end and hopefully get a couple of days use over the winter. The under side is mint no rust ect. All the running gear is rebuilt. New bearings bushes. Boots. Brake lines ect. The same guy got flipping over spray all over the back axle aswell after me blasting and painting it.

A friend of mine has put me intouch with a bloke near me that restores leather trim.he said he sprays them with something and apparently it's realy good and very hard wearing. He's going to show me a Ferrari he's just done tommorow. So fingers crossed it could get sorted. Will add picks of the damage laiter
Ye the weather doesn't bother me I've always worked out in all weathers. Misses thinks iam mad as I always work out on the drive instead of in the garage

Today I've cleaned all the dust out of the boot and under the back seats. Washed and hoovered. Wired up rear lights ect. Fitted fuel cap. And put trim back in

Also took pictures of the over spray on the seats before I let the misses loose on them armed with rags and a drum of thinners

And after a few hours of her grafting this is what we were left with. And a tub of sadle soap. And leather treatment.

Also recoloured the scuttle panel and fitted. And started to clean up engine bay

Can eny one tell me if there is ment to be two little bits of rubber that goes on the scuttle panel and against the curves of the top the wings. It doesn't seem to look right

Also have an annoying kink in the window screen seal on the top that I can't get out

CheeRS. Think I will have to treet her to a manicure as she's complaining about her hands with using thinners.
Also I want her to do the front ones now so will be a good bribe

Another little update. Some may class at bodging time. But an update none the less. Also could be a handy tip for some doing things cheap

Have fitted the side skirts using mud flap brakets witch cost me 11 pound for 16. First as in pic I drilled through the broken ones and fed tie wraps through. But tonight I've fitted a strip of alloy the full length of skirt and put brackets of to the mud flap clamps and all looks good. I done these with tie wraps at first as a quick fix just to hold them up. And I can't justify spending Ł100 pound on skirt clips when I have more important things to spend that kind of money on.

I've also dyed the parcel shelf black from light gray to match the black roof liner and trim

And fitted in the car along with rear seats ect but couldn't get pics as its to dark now

And fixed the top of the skirts on with these plastic trim clips makeing them remove able for cleaning

And lastly. My original plan was to paint the lip of the spoiler black after the blue but now the more I look at it the more iam not sure weather to leave it. Eny suggestions welcome

Default Hi

A little update hear nothing to exciting. I've fitted rs500 intercooler after cutting of the mounting brakets and re welding them in a different position. And modifiying the ports. As the cooler needed to be fitted upside down for the twin cam engine. Also fitted a alloy raidiator which also had to have brakets cut of and repositioned to clear the intercooler

Then I decided to paint the wheels white. As I can't afford a new set at the moment so thought I would have a play with the ones I've got

But then after all the years of never likening the wheels one little bit. After looking at these two pics iam not so sure now. This is the first time since fitting them to the saph I have actually thought they look ok

I've also fitted and wired up some gauges in the dash

Not the best of pics and update. But still an update
Thanks for looking

Just a little update on this for the owner of it. Unfortunately he is not very well at the moment. With this and other circumstances. Including moveing to a new premises and it not Haveing a garage he decided he had to put it for sale
Eny way while he's in hospital we thought we would try and get some storage for it (still working on that) and give it it's first bit of buff and dust the cob webs of it to try and make him change his mind on getting rid
We gave it a quick wash a quick buff and a polish to get some nice pics with the sun on it.
Unfortunately we missed the sun. But hears a few pics of how it stands. The pictures realy do not do the colour eny justice it's alot nicer than what it seems

Hi folks. There is a update to come on this project in the next day or so
It very nearly got sold due to ill health. But thankfully now it don't go ahead
With a new clean bit of health and the last week or two of recovery time before going back to work. I've fitted a new engine into her. Gearbox. Fuel tank. Fuel lines. Leather trim alot neater than the last and few other bits and bobs outstanding
It hasn't gone with out eny hick ups at all it's thought me all the way. I had my 3dr shell and spares stolen very recently this has also given me an extra kick up the rusty sheriffs badge to get my act together and get it sorted
Wilm try and update with pics tomorow night

Yes he is me and I am him lol. Thanks for your interest in it. Took it for a little joy ride last night. It has never drove and sounded as nice as it does. Think iam on target to getting it motd this sat. So hopefully will get it to atleast one show this year
I would love to say ye to giving you first refusal but there seems to be abit of a cue at the moment for it. Typical every one wants it when it's not for sale bet if I did put it up I wouldn't get a sale lol

I was in two minds what to do with the wheels. Idealy I want new but with not being able to afford what i want I made use of these.
The polished part was rotten beyond a little elbo grease so tried the white for now. Haited it at first site but now I love them

Yes I did the roof and plastics my self. Iam going to buy a camera in the next few days. I phone pics are crap

So will take some decent ones then for you
