Default Ford Escort Mk4 Van

Hello!.. Pictures of my van.

Its been off the road for over ten years but in dry storage.

Its currently sitting as high as a tree. Id like to make it lower but standard looking. Maybe change the alloys too.

Proper tidy looking that is mate!
Lower it on some RS 7 spokes and leave it, would look real smart then.

well i guess your options are:
cut the springs
buy some shorter springs
buy some shorter springs and shocks to go with them

EsCos wheels would look sick

Im sure ive heard of people putting axle ontop of leaf springs to lower these?
I would'nt cut springs :-( buy the proper ones and do it right first time.
Super clean looking van

You used to be able to buy lowered leaf springs, but most used to just put the rear axle on top of the leaf springs, and for the front, get some lowered springs!!
Nice van, ive always wanted a clean white one one to turbo!

My dad says there leaf springs.. I honestly have no idea.. why i joined this site in the first place.. to learn more lol and meet new people.

I currently want to lower the rear maybe put some nicer ford genuine alloys on there.

The inside back space needs doing because its faded white.. and the rear doors vibrate because the hinges have worn out.. and thats it really.. lol

to lower these vans put the axle on top of the leaf springs instead of being under, drops them nicely and only costs a bit of welding wire and a grinding disc to move the 2 brackets which holds the axle in place on the springs.
