Well in true Fordfair style the Cossy is fighting us all the way!!!
Graham's been sourcing odd and sods...
I've again been busy bufftying the Saff... It's had more mop action... Looking rather impressive now tbh...
Graham decided today to check when the mot was due...
I got a phone call to say its run out!!!
A couple of phone calls got it booked in at my regular place for 3pm...
Due to it not being run much it seemed to wanna misfire a lot...
Graham run it to the mot station which cleared it up... It's sailed through its mot But along the way the power steering pump poo'd itself...
A phone call to a local hero of the day (Nash) has got us a pump on loan for Fordfair...
It's all bolted up and working...
So tomorrow we'll see if we can finish all the jobs...

How it sits tonight in the garage...
Some may notice it's now got a badge in the grill...
Bumper come off to ease access for pump change, also while off we've painted towing eye black...
In the morning we'll fit the new bumper brackets and front bumper strip...
Fitted rear bumper strip earlier today, just no pics sorry...
I've just had headlights out to re seal... They were misting up, fingers crossed there sorted now...
I've also fitted the replacement os a post trim, along with a few replacement switches...
More pic updates tomorrow...

Back on with this today after a mega busy couple of weeks with work.
I fixed the boost issue the other day, one of the wires had got pulled out of the coil on the solenoid in the crash, so a Ł60 replacement from Chris at EFI-Parts fixed that, rather than Ł97 from MSD
Took the car out for a quick check on friday evening, I had forgotten just how quick it was but then the backbox flew off at the top of third gear so ive modified the joint, but at some point the car will be going in to BCS exhausts for a few repairs and all the joints v banding.
Popped up to see the guys at sierras'r'us yesterday and picked up a couple of last little bits, and a new power steering pump so i can give Nash his back
had a full day today on it, started off making up a mint set of fog lights.
surrounds rubbed down, etched, silver and lacquered.
glass fitted, fresh out of the dishwasher
and a nice clean set of reflectors
Fitted
and turned on
fitted the boot badges, its a new dark blue ford badge and a little small, but its better than a tatty old one.
then cleaned and painted and fitted the power steering pump
Also fitted a new indicator cancelling cam, replaced the indicator stalk and aligned the steering column, still have a little problem here though with the recon rack...
fitted a new set of horn contacts so that works now.
and fixed the ABS which turned out to be a pin had pushed back in the plug on the hydraulic unit so a nice cheap fix.
Unfortunatly the car is off the road again though as the cam cover gasket is leaking i used some hylomar sealant which doesnt seem to have worked very well... ill go back to the loctite i have used in the past.
Gonna put a set of tappets in it while its in bits as one is a bit noisy, should of done it last time it was in bits but oh well...

Chris sorted out some dent removal for us last friday evening nearly there, another evening on it and it will be perfect.
new set of eccentric top mounts turned up today as i want more castor. will get these fitted then take it for a proper suspension set up.
Jacking point covers have arrived, and the new splitter should be here any day

New RS500 Style splitter turned up at the weekend from Ian Heron, Got it fitted last night. I've got to say the quality and fitment is perfect would definatly reccomend these over the other ones on ebay. Comes in satin black gel coat too so no need to paint and keep touching up stone chips
Not had the car out of the drive yet and it needs a good wash, but here's a preview
Top Mounts are also fitted.
If i get back from work at a decent time tonight i will pull it out for a wash and a run up to cheshire RSOC meet and take some better pics.
