yeh but ul be better with propper heat resistance paint

Ive used smoothrite it on break calipers and it last's for years

They get quite hot and sit in all the road crap and clean up easy so id say it'll be ok on the black aslong as it's key'd up properly

(That was to remove VHT paint as it had cracked and broken off)
3-4 coats of smooth black hammerite - http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v78/markc/photo-5.jpg

still as mint 1 year and 1k later

used on calipers and engines its great stuff
