Too many posts.. I need a life!!
I remember reading about these when they were new, you seem to have all the info on them but I cant see how its worth spending much money fixing it?
Looks well past it, no engine, no one rated them when new so its not something thats worth spending much money on unless you are just going to keep it.
Or maybe put a YB in it that is what they should have done in the first place.
There were a few turbo 2.0 sierras in the 80's turbo technics and some others (FEV?) did them but they were never rated very well at the time due to the Cossie being so good.

The 8v I4's a much underrated engine (maximum torque comes up at 1500 rpm!) - I had two of these (albeit without turbos, one was EFI and the other carbed) and they both went like stink for what they were. Nice to see a Sierra being rebuilt and restored rather than raped for its gear lever surround or diff. Even better that it's a rare model that doesn't get a lot of coverage.
PS, edited the image tags for the mag shots so we can all see them

Wicked car Love all things Sierra, and with this one being so rare it certainly ticks all the boxes. It's a shame more development didn't go into the twinky as I think they're one of the most under rated engines out there and I swear by them. Good luck getting it rebuilt, will be watching with interest

that's an amazing find, glad to see it's going to be restored back to the way it should be. Shame about the wheels though
amazing to think you've got a completely one-off car like that, the only one in the world.
