Mk3 xr2i 16v zvh project
Well I have finally got myself a wee project to keep me busy.Had a few old Fords in the past but never got round to doing much to them due to where I was staying.
Got myself a driveway and a decent sized shed so no excuses now.
Its a 1994 xr2i 16v in silver.
My plans for it is to keep it looking original as much as I can. When I got it there was halo front lights and dtm style mirrors which were the first things to get chucked in the bucket.Wasnt sure about the wheels but there starting to grow on me.
I am currently building a zvh replacement engine for it.
Heres a few pics of what Ive been upto
Bottom end ready to get cleaned
A few parts after being cleaned and painted
Then a quick build to see what it looks like.Still got the head, manifold and turbo to clean up a bit.
I would of got a bit more done today but I was sent the wrong gasket set out and wont be doing any more until wednesday
More updates after then.Cheers for looking

Well time for a wee update, was a good day weather wise so thought I would get the engine and box out the fez
Got the car drained of all fluids and made a start at getting all minor parts round about the engine off as I had to take it out bit by bit as no engine hoist.
Everything went fine but when I was building the other zetec block to get ready for going in the engine mount to the front left of the block is fouling the water pump conversion and look like its going to do the same with the cvh manifold also.
Any ideas on whats been done on other builds using the standard turbo manifold please let me know if a different mount needs to be used or somthing.Cheers
Here are a few pics...the first one is not so good.Out the original engine in the car
My garage after cleaning up was a bit of a mess.Bits lying all over the shop.
Back onto it again tomorrow to see how much I can get done.
Thanks for looking...
