Quick update

been doing alot of work to the head this week
and it looks a decent spec with 3 angle valve seets, ported
and polished with new valve guides with the inlet ones being
cut as shown






should be getting the head skimmed this week

also got some goodies and stripped some more stuff off the car




and with the side skirt off more rust

If we didnt find rust what would be the point mate
Anyway I got ma engine back in and that turbo takes up so much room.You will need to come have a shifty and give me some pointers cause am stumpt
Hope you will have the saff ready on time

Oh Yes !!!! just getting the suspension parts ready for powder coating not sure
on colour though ? and should have it on its side tomorrow so i can start taking the
horrible underseal off

where u taking the stuff to get powder coated ?

i get alot of wheels powder coated and got alot of stuff done for my xr2 by adie @ custom coatings in bellshill , does a good job and good with his prices too .

Unusual request but i took some for you along with a small update with
the car on its side.

and only to find rust rust and more rust, oh and some dodgey welding













and after a couple of hours, I HATE UNDERSEAL !!!!

Ok been busy the past few weeks but here is a update of what
ive been up to

first off got alot off goodies from lee mcdonald who is braking his saph
Top Bloke



been doing alot of head work with changing the valve stem oil seals
and having to time sert 7 cam bearing cap studs because who ever
rebuilt it last must have tightend them with a power bar and a scaffold pole on the end !!!









oh and a random pic of my mates car he just sold



most of the floor nice and clean



and also have been busy disposing of the RUST ....

That fuel tank looks familiar, Have seen He's Beam and trailing arms on ebay.

yeah that would have been him, the finish on his stuff is mint and when i saw
the tank i couldnt help myself even though i am going to change the colour which
is a shame......

you sure there not available ?

you used to be able to get them from haidrian panels for about Ł20

have you tried them or A panels ?

wow martin, you have a lot of bodywork repair there! well done on getting on with it fella - got nothing to do on mine except 4" of rear arch and little bit of bubbling on the sill!

they can wait though as you won't see them at 170mph....

all i need is a bloody engine and gearbox now lol!

yes i am the reason why idiots shouldn't own these cars...

Not that bad really.
Some kid put a trolley jack on the jacking point a few years ago and bent the floor a bit.
Over time it has gone shitty so i cut the lot out!
