Hi there im a month old to pf , i purchased my erst last year in august and havent regreted it since . when the winter fell it came with a big bang and the rs had some tough times trying to start from -13degrees. so i brought a little run around for the winter and had to put a cover over him for the remaining months.when january came and tax was going to run out , i thought to myself this could be a worth while project so i sorned it . since then ive been buying bits and bobs. i work 70+ hours a week (6days out of 7) so im afraid this progress is guna be slow!
i rang my private mechanic up to fit me in for a weeks work so in that week im aiming for
:engine bay restoration
:degrease the engine and clean it up
:new bonnet and tailgate to be fitted and sprayed
:new clutch and time belt and tensioners to be fitted with water pump and oil pump
:strip wax oil from underneath the car to see what hidden critters(rust+rot) there is.
:fix the electrics as there is a slight problem

Good luck with the restoraetion mate ive been doing mine and discovered some very alarming things whist stripping it , looks a nice clean motor

looks very clean for a d plate mate,they usually the worst.
theres bound to be some nastys under the kit and carpet,dont look,be ignorant.its much cheaper lol.

Looks very clean mate, about half way through my resto at the mo but it will get there.

by the way im reading all the resto threads and picking up tips and tricks so its thanks to you guys that make my job easier
