K-jet turbo question
Hi guys,
Im new on here and thought this is the place to get to chat to people in the know about rs turbos.
i currently own a mk4 xr3i cabby with mfi k-jet injection and am keen to convert to rs turbo spec. My question is wether it is possible to keep the k- jet injection from the xr3i instead of replacing the whole loom to ke injection. Is this possible? Is there an easy way out? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers... Lewis

I wouldn't of thought so, the metering units are different, im not sure if the xr3i metering unit would be able to be set up to cope with increased fueling needs when the car comes on boost and if you could i would think its a load more hastle to sort out than just swaping over to RST KE Jet, you also have extra sensors & different ECU's on the RS Turbo.
To sum up...probably not worth it

Cheers Jimmy. Im a total noob to all this you see and just a little worried about whats involved in ripping out the existing loom and replacing it with an rs turbo one. Do you know if you have to strip the car out completely. to do this? I wasnt sure if the engine had a seperate loom that could be changed over to a turbo one and leave the existing loom to the rest of the car in to save messing about with all the other electrics in the car?
