Default Carson's MK5 ZSR

Alright,

Im a regular member on UKFN and visit ZSOC aswell from time to time.

I was told to join passion ford by Glenn from Darlo with the white sierra. I work for the same company as him just in a different workshop.

Well heres my MK5 fiesta ZSR (Zetec S Replica) soon to be puma'd. Eerything that's been done to the car i've done myself.

SPEC
---------
Engine-
Completely standard 1.25 zetec engine with an after market backbox, cant justify spending alot on an exhaust system for a 1.2 haha

Exterior and chassis-
Full Zetec S bodykit, front bumper customised slightly.
Smoothed boot, wiper hole smoothed and spoiler smoothed into bootlid.
16'' Mondeo ST24 wheels with low pro tyres.
Lowered 40mm on springs with standard shockers.
Head light inserts sprayed black
DMB Gel overlays

Interior-
Headliner and sun visors retrimmed
BMW E36 Full leather front seats*
A,B & C pillars sprayed black

----------

plans in the process-
I currently have 300mm mondeo calipers sitting at home and im waiting on my Goodridge braided hoses to arrive then the brakes will be getting upgraded.

Once the brakes are upgraded i'll be getting a puma engine sorted and taking the car off the road for some proper work.

I'll put afew pictures up

Zetec S front bumper, I smoothed the toe eye cover and fog holes. (my old Dare VR alloys)

Smoothing the bootlid (Compomotive MS1370 wheels)

How she sat for a while with the Compomotives on (wheels currently forsale)

BMW E36 front seats

The current set up.

Well another update:

i've been accepted into the army and im just waiting for a start date so you can expect a fair few mods to take place over the next few weeks as im aiming to have a load of the car done before i go.

In the last week i've uprated the front brakes and relocated the battery to the boot.

Brakes (300mm calipers with braided goodridge hoses)

Battery in the boot (Remembered to put it on the opposite side of the filler neck )

Empty bay:

baterry relocated :

C&C appreciated as always

Some new goodie goodies

picking this up next week (Ł150)

and my bargain recon T2 turbo all for Ł35

will be quite a while until this is fitted but i hqve the base and i'll rebuild the engine prior to fitment. To start with i'll be keeping things standard just to get her running then i'll maybe look into getting her heart tuned up abit.

More updates to come

I will do mate, i might make a conversion kit depending how it goes.

Done afew more things today:

removed the battery mount from the engine bay & hammerite ( going to be sponsored by hammerite by the end lol)

and then i removed all te rear sound deadening (what a pain lol) then hammerited it.

i then jumped underneath to brind off some of the rust but 1 part actually turned into a hole so i now have a hole in my boot haha
Im off work for 3 weeks but when i go back i'll repair it when i can get to a welder (considering replacing my boot floor with a flat plat to remove all the recesses)

holey boot:

more to come

Picked my engine up on friday and started stripping it as soon as i got home.

Spec:
Standard 1.6 8v CVH Turbo.

Enough of the yamma and i'll just let the pictures do the talking.

It will all be cleaned repainted and rebuilt before fitted. i would say i have about 70% of the bits i need so shouldnt take too long hopefully.

Cheers

Quite easily mate, i used half legs off the fiesta bases and welded plates onto then then bolted te BMW seats to the new bases. Only problem is that they sit too high/clise to the steering wheel so i have to sit weirdly when driving and its been giving me a bad knee so i need to change the bases to lower them an inch or two.

Cheers
