Default 3dr resto 'RSty' 25/01/17 minor update

well time for me to start my thread on the above, having had Beef persuade me to do a restoration on my car last year after coming down to remove the running gear etc from the underside of it with me (more him than me to be fair)

it soon became obvious i didnt have the time, tools required or most certainley the skill (this was apparent after getting to know special k and seeing what he is able to do).I asked Spesh if he would take it on which he duly told me to "feck off"...nah he said yup

a date was set last week to come and collect it early this morning

now i have to apologise for the 90`s styling this is all gonna change..

what it looked like (not sure about grill being carbon i aint gonna throw it away)

before i forget just want to say thanks to Beef,Spesh & Graham for today top lads cheesr chaps

Underbonnet bling (not sure about its future maybe some powder coating etc)

being pulled outside to be stripped out

tool required to make slight `adjustment` to dolly

gently does it

its all good YAY!!

right the tints and the side markers are also going...

all gonna be minty mint soon

making all safe n secure

think i negotiated a good rate of pay too, wish i`d got some bread though

central day 2010 orriginally, just want it back on the road asap, not gonna rush anything but some stuff will have to wait till winter,so will put some standard bits back on but cleaned up n painted etc

but its all down to skill and patience of the lads up in boro` at the moment, will be taking up whatever stuff they need for it oh and ordering whatever is required from matt lewis

forgot to add this one where the hell `s it all gonna go now

just dropped one of my lads off at his grandads, came back looked out the kitchen to see my carbon bonnet, rear bumper and rs500 bumper still sat on the grass, wouldnt fancy replacing them after forgetting to bung em in the garage

nice n simple underneath (black on running gear, silver on transmission stuff) pretty much as it left ford but not so tight with the paint on the tunnel, want it as easy as possible to keep clean taking into account the commitments i have

well i could have said it wasnt me but i`m sure there is plenty on here with skeletons in their modding closet

as said i have seen the light and not only is she getting restoed (is that a word?) but very much a change in look & appearance, slight twist on the orriginal finish

ok folks , dash and kits been removed ,

cars been inspected ,

few issues weve found

as you can see , alot if its cosmetic rather than structural , never the less its going to take time to put right properly ,

cpl sections on the trans tunnell , rear arches where the kits been and the sills are looking a bit poor and we aint even got underneath yet lol

spesh is going to havbe a chant with daz , nothing will be cut from the car till any new panels arrive

beef
ok
