H4COS Sapph Cosworth Rebuild And 2WD more bits done!
Well I've done loads to my Sapph since I bought it back in 2004 but ive never done one of these threads so here goes.
The first thing that needed doing to her is the rear arches which over time have got worst so I bought the inner and outer arches both sides and made a start !
I have got pictures of what they where like before but that's on my camera which I'll upload tomorrow these pics are from my iPhone.
This is the passenger side arch with the corrosion removed and some new panelwork on the inner arch
The passenger side wasn't too bad so only needed a section doing.
Then I moved onto the drivers side which was the worst side after grinding the corrosion down it was clear I had to replace the whole inner and outer arches so
The dog leg section above !!
So cut the outer arch off
Which revealed the inner was knackered too
This is the lower part of the drivers side arch at the sill ! All cut off
New inner arch tacked in place
I have pics of the new arches in but it's on my camera so the progress so far is everything is in primer and round 2 next Saturday.
Passenger side not finished but just in primer until next week so it doesn't corrode
And drivers side same in primer not finished
Hope you enjoy
Tony
