havent updated in a wile so hear goes lol

got my self a focus rs box my cts box started making funny noises so decided an mtx was the way to go

i got holed of a standard mk2 xr2 gear box to throw in the car for now till i have the time/money to fit the focus box but wile the bc box was out i thort i would start mocking up the mtx mount ectect

the focus rs box was not that much longer than the bc box.

it fits in the hole with no cutting.......... apart from the fact its wedge the crank pully on one inner wing and the box on the other inner wing

i bort a mount kit a certain some one thanks mate and went to work fitting it

the box fits fine even with my mondeo servo but i need to move the engine forward 10mm as i had to shift the box forward to get the shafts lined up had to chop the inner wing the make some room for the nose of the box so dident weld the mounts in just yet untill the engines moved forward

good stuff, i dont know why people still piss about with the bc box. Shafts, linkage, clutch cable and speedo next, are you cutting and welding the shafts? what are you using for speedo drive? also have you converted the box to cable clutch?

much the same id think, still got to make mounts, shafts, linkage and sort the clutch actuation in either case. Pysically mounting the box is the "easy" bit, its all the rest of the gumf that takes the time.

as said on other forum, looks like the trend i started is catching on.
looking like good progress
wish i had a lift to work with though, would have made everything easier for me
if you want i can get a sketch drawn for dimensions of drive shafts needed and the number of a guy who can do them very cheap whenever you want fella.

ive got hold of a nitrous kit to play with i used to play around with nitrous when i was younger untill i discovered turbos so would seem rude to not mix the to lol
