well tonight i braved it for the worst and stripped out the interior. i was quite suprised when i got all the carpet removed, the floor wasnt in much of a bad state, it has deffo had past repairs but they are too a good standard which is good! no bird shit welding here! a good tidy up and a full inside respray and jobs a goodun! i then turned my attention to the sunroof.... hmm i really wish i hadn't! it wouldnt open for a start so i knew it deffo was rottern! and it was!! i managed to wind it open a little but the whole mechanism is shot!
Check out the pic of the original for speaker i took out of the car... no wonder it wasnt working lol *:listen:

right well i went to the salvage yard this morning at 8.30 to beat the heat and rape a mk4 escort i had heard they had got in. it was untouched so plenty to be taken! got a near perfect complete sunroof (as mine did a vanshing trick! ha!) it just had a few rust spots on the runners, glass ect perfect! i also picked up a mint set of dash clocks, so my rev counter actually works now! got some better condition interior handles and a few other bits n bobs. Pics below.

been a while since i last posted, been working on the car and its slowly getting done, i started the year by removing the old drivers sill to find the inner sill rottern, that was repaired and a whole new sill was fitted, the drivers floor was next on the list, rottern and full of holes it had to go. Whole new floor pan was fitted and here is the finished result, just got the rear floor to fix up as needs resealing and a few holes welded nothing major which is good!
My new wings turned up this week too! more pics of progress soon!
