Rwd Cossie v6 Mk3 near finished and looking good (now starts and drives)
heres the storey.
decided to do a practical project for my course im doing at the moment so being into my escorts decided to go for it. Using a Scorpio floor pan im going to make the mk3 escort rwd.
the engine im using is the 2.9v6 boa cosworth,
Mt75 gear box,
getting a full roll cage installed and hopefully some archs.
got more progress done today aswell as always getting new ideas but any ideas are welcome more progress pics soon.

Update 05/01/2011
Got to update now afta finding my cable lol The new work done is at the crucial point. removed the rear section of floor pan from the escort and have lined up and modified the back section of Scorpio floorpan to suit its new home. Have been able to keep most of the origonal inside wheel arch of the escort lukily. The aim is to keep as origonal as possible as to the escort cosmetics. Obviously cant help it with the big tunnel but still. The front windscreen has been put in as to help with keeping the strenght in the body when removing the front section.
the leftovers from removing the floorpan from the Scorpio
the rear section after being removed from the Scorpio this had to be modified to the measurements needed to to make it fit into the back of the escort.
taking the excess from the floor pan any unneeded weight has to go
the modifications to allow the rear floor pan to go in as smooth as possible
an example of the cleanilness of the rear section after preperation
again taking the excess for the measurements
removing the rear section slowly piece by piece wanting to keep as much as possible
the rear floor section after being put into place. measured and welded so its definetly in the right place, bracing provided by floor stands being welded to the outside of the sills to add support and bolted to the floor.
rear section compared to the front wheel drive floor pan
wiring loom that came with the engine simplzzzz
rocker covers and plenum removed for powdercoating

update 06/02/2011
heres my next update got a another bit done during the month of january
managed to finish up the rear section fully welded into the rear of the escort
the front section was prepaired and removed from the front of the escort to do this the shell was bolted to the floor of the garage to stop it from warping when the front of the floor pan was removed.
the engine plenum and rocker covers where removed in previous post for powder coating
plenum will be white and the two rockers will be blue.
thanx for looking (BTW the measuring tape has a laser cross hairs so i used this to have perfect lines)

I'm Finding My Feet Here Now
nice little project there
id stick the MT75 in if i were you, the type9 generally doesnt like any abuse or too much torque

ur a changed man
aww u aint are u lol much difference????
as for the bonnet fits nice tis tight though as for the wiper i have a single wiper kit for it saves a little weight maybe. will have to make up a bracket for that too. loads of room at the back now due to the heater unit being removed.
