Default RS2000 wiring loom into van- help needed please!

Hi still having issues with my RS2000 mk5 van conversion... i used a running donor car so i know that everything WAS working! first off can anyone tell me what the GREY RELAY behind the battery is for, and the symptoms of a dud one1 although the car was running, i'v tested it now and it doesnt work...
Iv got ignition lights, headlights and wipers, but the fuel pump doesnt prime and it wont turn over on the key (i can turn it over by shorting the starter but the van doesnt spark or inject even if i manually power up the fuel pump)
I had to bypass the PATS immobiliser as i didnt want to use the RS's knackered loopy old central locking system which locked me out twice in the two days i drove it! The red light on the clock comes on for five seconds when the key is turned, i think thats right...?
Iv got two 2-pin plugs on the passenger's side of the engine bay which i cant find a home for

Theres a yellow plastic-shrouded spade connector next to the engine ECU in the passengers kick panel, been told it MUST be plugged in i cant find a home for it?

ANY help much appreciated!!!! cheers

that yellow plastic spade connector is for the speakers am sure if not nothing mines isnt pluged in and it runs fine the relay behind the battery is either for heated screen ect as for the rest i had tons of problems trying to fit just the engine loom to my diesel loom i ended up changing the interior loom , engine loom , dash loom the lot had no problems since its the easiest way to do it mate

that spade connector is a single spade, so cant be for the speakers surely? its taped to the ECU loom and the wire is shrouded

i defo mate that yellow connecter next the ecu plug is defo not pluged into anything on mine sorry mate wasnt a speker wire and i changed everyloom in mine apart from the dash / door loom and still couldnt get it to fire was doing the same thing as ures apart from my pump was coming on but nothing happening i changed the dash loom so that every loom that was in the van was rs2000 apart from the back light loom i just split the rs2000 and joined the van light loom togeather fired 1st time

hmm. i changed the dash loom and fusebox from the Rs into the van, but i didnt fit the airbag loom, central locking or ABS. but i cant see any of them stopping it from starting, i know the central locking can trip the immobiliser but my red light is doing what it should! my boss soldered some wire across that part of the PATS box so it doesnt recognise central locking lol. im now finding that even if i power up the relays with a 12v feed so the fuel pump, coil packs, everything is working, it STILL wont start coz the switched earths to the injectors arent doing anything! theyre done by the ECU, so all i can think is that i fucked the ECU somehow?

Yes we did. His boss fuked the soldering up lol but apparently u can just unplug the pats box and run it? But in the end the van got issues and sold. Kept over fueling and was totally undriveable.

Fuck me dean he didn't ask 4 its life story lol yeah try unplugging the pats module if its an external one. Later ones have the immobiliser built into the ecu tho in which case u gota have everything right, chip key etc

right that could be my problem.

as it stands now, took all the van wiring out. (all dash, and engine bay loom, and took the pats thing off from around the ignition barrel, and left the rear light loom in tho)

so put rs2000 engine bay loom in, dash looms, and rs fuse box, and am going to splice the rear light loom in to the rs rear light loom plug.

the car the engine came from didnt have that bit around the ignition barrel (pats?)

it still has the original van ignition barrel and key at the min, i can get ignition but it wont turn over and fuel pump doesnt prime.

as you say about using the chipped key, guess i can just put the ignition barrel and key from the car the rs engine came from on to my van and shoudl work??

what you think?

did you wire in the original RS fuel cut off switch ?

as I noticed my van hasn't got one and my RS loom has so I'll be placing that back into the van too.

you need to use full rs loom and join the escort van rear light loom and you need a ecu , key transponder and either chip out the key or the key that goes with that ecu key transponder ect out the rs

As adie said u need the transponder that goes around the barrel to read the chip key, (if u want to u can keep the van barrel and just put the rs key chip in ur van key or tape the fobs together), but u need the ecu, pats module (if not built into the ecu its a fairly large black box which originally sat high up behind the dash on the passengers side) and key to be from the same vehicle. And u need the fuel pump cut off switch which lived in the footwell on the rs
