got front panel for it & im collecting some bumpers tomorow
made a start on the panels lol,i could'nt resist still havent touched the 3dr
got the wing of & the other gay side skirt

mk3 wing just sat on

also front panel of but no pics
panels just resting on at the moment




got to sort something out with the arch as wheel stick out or maybe go for s1kit but ill deside that in the future,really want it 16i tho



i have found a problem tho,the front wheels dont sit center in the arch,spoke to my bro inlaw & he said he made a mistake on the floor when welded it in,he messured from the wrong point on both sides,by the time he bolted up the running gear it was to late to alter to floor,so he just altered the wings, so think ill have to have some compresion strut things or what ever they are called to sit them center as dont want to mess with the wings,it could look odd,also some coilovers on the list for it to:thumb:

cheers mate,yeah i dont want s1 on it,it been done to death but if i have to do it, it will just be on the front,
il mod the kit so it looks like the standard arch. or maybe get some diff wheels to see how they sit

Yea, you gonna use cos 2wd brakes on the front so you can run with 15"s? a perfect rs16i replica estate would be great, with the interior aswell, i believe the rear door cards and everything fits too as my mate has a s1 estate, What colour you thinking?

yeah its got 2wd brakes on so ill keep them,not sure on the wheels yet,my mate has some of these tsw evo's in 15"s



he want to swap for some s2 wheels i got,never seen any on a mk3 b4 tho so not sure it would look anygood
yeah the interior would be nice,dont kno if its having back seats but yeah the rears card do fit
i like frozen white,sunburst red,mercury gray type colours but it a long way off that,want to get engine choice sorted first , was liking the idea of v6 & then turbo in the future but im really wanting cosworth so mite get saving

I built a mk3 estate about 8 years ago, broke my rotten RS1600I into it. These are the only pics i've got of it it had the sticker kit on as well..

Cheers bud. I swapped it for a mondeo estate then bought it back then sold it. It then got turbo'd and painted white a mate bought it broke it and sold it to someone in the midlands about two years ago thats the last thing i heard of it.

A mate used to run evo r's on his MK3 estate they looked sweet on that..

the bumper end caps are not for a estate,im goin to extend them once the bumper as be modded to fit

Theres a GL estate going round here totaly standard but the bloke will not sell it, it's mint one owner... Everytime i see him i ask... LOL..

thought i would stick some pics up so the thread is upto date
just been buyin g afew things,not done any welding yet,had to place the parts on to see how she will be looking
love the look now,back to how it should look
went to my local srcappers & this was in there

been sat since 92 with around 30,000 on the clock
got a scuttle of it,needs a repair on the drivers side,once this is done i can think about get the front end together

front end placed on,all windows in so its not getting rained in to


metal door handles from the scrapped estate & the headlights

rear arch fitted & won a rear light of ebay

& got a 16i splitter aswel



ive got more stuff than i thought i would for it,just need rear panel,both full sills,o/s rear light & mirrors oh & need sqaure spot lamps
then ill be on the hunt for interior bits

You havn't gotany pics of the rear floor area from the inside mate have you, I've just start mine and looking at which way to do the rear section.

i havent got any pics of the mk3 as its full of crap & covered up atm

but have these pics of my old one i started but gave it up for another project
the mk3 is the same as this old mk4 i did
its all sierra floor




theres so many ways to do it

what rapid says is right...

There are really a lot of ways to do conversions.... You have to think about which way would be the easiest for you...

In my case, I kept the MK3 rear floor, just the front part is all Sierra...

Cyril, the Sierra boot floor is about 37mm higher than the Escort - how did you solve this?

Regarding the rear beam, I placed it more to the back and made a new bracket for the diff...



Inside of the car, I just have to made some small modifications to the floor... it was quite easy...
