are you going for the complete 92 spec dash then martin or just the 90 spec one?

i'm only asking because i'm curious as to where you would mount the rear wiper switch and washer button, or if you are going to fit the later escos style stalks like someone has done before?

you know they have different kick panels as well as the passenger side one has a notch in it to clear the amplifier fitted to the higher spec radios

the other good thing about it is that the wires have "JUST" enough reach in them to fit everything where you need it to go so you shouldn't need to chop and change the loom about

92 spec dash is looking likely Dojj, rear wiper and wash motor will work off MK2 Sierra stalks not Escort ones. Yep know about the kick panels and the inner a pillar trims too

What's the deal with dash colours?

The MK2 dash is grey and so are my door trims but the RS panel looks like its covered in nicotine! I have three and they're all the same colour and they dont get any better if I clean them..

Todays update>>

With the engine and box in place I can now get on with modifying the exhaust downpipe to fit the GT3071 that I'm using, I decided that I wanted a V band connection half way down the down pipe to make future gearbox removal easier...

Original flange..

Flange chopped off and exhaust ready to trial fit..

Had to add a small length of tube..

V band flanges tacked into place..

Top section..

Just need to finish the top section off tomorrow and thats another job ticked off the list .

if you are going with 92 spec martin then why not leave the cubby hole there

as for the colours of the dash, there were loads of colours and unless you can get one of them leather restorer type places to get you a colour match, i don't think you are going to get much better

if you get yourself a GT car they came with all black (occasionally blue) trim panels which might go better with the colour of the car

unless you want to get the whole dash flocked or the like in which case you won't need to worry about colours

Downpipe now made up

The system came with a 3" rolled inwards tailpipe which looks more like a 2.5" on the car, so its getting chopped off and replaced with a 3" rolled outwards tail.

Looking good Martin, don't suppose the flange you've chopped off your exhaust is surplus to requirements is it?

It's very flexible and can run wasted spark but I wanted individual coils (1 per cyl) and wanted to fire them sequentially. It also does ALS, Launch cont, and loads of other stuff..

THats not a bad price is it as it does Launch,Als and sequential spark i bet that would cost nearlly that much to add to a l8?
Do you have to order the chip for that or do you re map the one in there ?
