Ellie Bear - MK5 Ford Fiesta
Ellie Bear
Let me introduce to you my little Fiesta Ellie, She is a 2001 MK5 1.8 (Turbo) Diesel (Endura DI). She's been in the family for the past 4 years and while not really being looked after she has now in good hands. After getting the keys 2 and a half years ago i have got more and more attached to her.
She enjoy's her weekly wash and it's the cleanest white MK5 you will ever see .
While she is my daily drive and sadly thats all she will every be this thread is just to show the small modifications i make to make her drive a bit better. She has been un touched for the time i have had her, (i mean she hasn't been modified). She has a few minor defects but nothing a little bit of love can’t fix.
I would very much enjoy your comments, good or bad as I take you on this ride of a life time. I intend to keep my photos fairly small for the enjoyment of others and to make it as easy as possible to view the worklog.
Before we get going I’ve got to warn you, there may be days, weeks and in worst case months before I update. With this in mind I hope not to disrupt your Viewing pleasure.
Chapter 1
Righty, before i crack on heres some before pictures of how she is.

@ Chris - Cheers, i have no time for them at the moment plus i've got a few thing which need to be done to the Car.
Chapter 2.0
First up on the list of changes, rear spacers. I've heard a lot about them and with having a few body roll and handling issues i thought i would go for this cheap Mod.
Mod: 12.5mm Rear Spacers
Cost: £29.95 + £3.95 P+P (£33.90)
Time: 2 Hours (With taking photos and extended lunch break)
Thanks: Zippy Racing
First things first, some before shot. nothing fancy.
Up in the air, axle stands under and rims off.
Duct cap off, Hub nut off and the drum cover off.
Rear stub off and the rivets holding the drum to the Axle drilled out.
The spacers in all there glory and installed on the axle.
All bolted back together, Stub nuts done up to 70Nm, Hub Nuts to 235Nm then wheels done to 85Nm.
The car feels a lot more responsive on roundabouts and a load of body roll has been removed. It feels tighter but is still very playful.

Thank you for the kind comments, Photography is a kind of hobby of mine and the camera i have is a Cannon 50D DSLR.
@m4tt274 - I plan to get her lowered about 30-55mm in the near future, I need to phone the insurance to check a few things as well as seeing how much ford charge for Eibach Springs.

Correct, Ford sell Eibach springs. As there are part of the rally team. You can buy all sorts of stuff it's just not easy finding what they have, as it's not really a catalog.
You can buy the hub spacers as they are from the Puma .

Not much of an update, i just wanted to show off my new weekend car. I'm wanted one for ages even tho i am more of a Diesel fan, a rather nice one came up so i had to get it .
It's a Ford Racing Puma number 190 out of 500.
I'm off to AMD Technik next Saturday for some laser tracking work, so a nice update then .
