My 24v Cosworth Home Grown Single Turbo Conversion
All work done by myself and a good friend, all home grown.........
Started with a BOB 24v, and run on a KKK27 Turbo from a commercial lorry application. Custom made manifold from gas pipe fittings, all tig welded. External 50mm wastegate and screamer pipe, scooby 440cc side feed injectors, and lots more. Running on Emerald management and other uprated goodies.

Wiring loom went on a hefty diet, also found some dodgy 20 year old wiring issues....... probably explain my erratic fueling for the last 3 years......
New injector loom wires, along with new Scoob plugs.....
The original ford injectors, only flow 191cc per min.....
Scooby STI 440cc replacements, all cleaned and tested....
Time to pull the lump out to mod the sump and change clutch for an AP 4 paddle....
Sump drilled and modded for oil return....

Do you know what...... i cant remember atm, im sure they are 1" 3/4 but will have a look at the spare fittings i have left. Used these as they are thicker and more able to withstand extreme heat compared to thin tubular pipes.

Good stuff! like the use of the subaru injectors, did you need to modify the rail deeper or are they a straight swap? i ran those on a zetec turbo once. Im sure it will make over 300 bhp and 300+ ftlb of torque at 10 psi, will be good to see some dyno graphs. keep up the good work.

Engine nearly ready to go back in, modded one of the oil returns from the head to take oil breather.....
Good old copper pipe fittings.....lol
Engine cleaned ready to go in......
Cosworth oil breather....
Adjustable fuel pressure regulator....
The remade inlet pipe, original was plastic
And this was the original vis unit that i took the gubbings out and blocked the holes as not needed with forced induction.
Manifold all wrapped.....
Wastegate and screamer pipe on......

Nice one Damo. I was in another Sierra following this through Holland the other year, it went like the clappers before the turbo was fitted. Sounds lovely too. Can't wait to see it again

Ford KA 1.7 Vct, soon...
Very cool project, does a twin scroll turbo actually effect performance? Ive heard about the benefits (quicker spolling etc), im surprised they aren't used more
