Default Is this worth restoring???

Hi all. We have just got 2 new ford's to add to the collection a rs turbo and this mk5 rs 2000. And i would like to know if you think it is worth restoring??? The car was once apon a time a track car. There a hint's of this as there is a performance exhaust, bigger breaks, lower suspension and a kill switch in the car. But the car has a badly bent up re wheel witch put a end of it being on race track. How ever the shell is not bent up and it's mint as once it's accident happend it got left in a barn next to the rs turbo. We got it to resale in the uk. So what do you think. Here are the pic's

Nice MK5 RS2000's are getting thin on the ground. Bet there aren't many LHD examples and that's by far the best colour for them. Not worth great money, but have been appreciating and will appreciate more as numbers continue to dwindle.

Definitely a worthwhile project IMO.

don't break the bank and make sure it's a proper rs2k by looking under the bonnet and looking for a red topped 2.0 engine

Think he knows what his own car is!!! If the cars been a track car its more than likely had some bucket seats in, so when its come time for the previous seller to sell on he's probably chucked in what ever he can get his hands on.

nice motor and I agree with the above, mk5s are getting rare but at the same time atm their not worth a great deal but I think will slowly go up in value, so it all depends on how nakered it is, how cheap you can get bits for it were you are, and wether your going to keep it stored and used on occasions to keep it nice and wait for value to increase or if your just going to sell it straight away

Im a mechanic and always say to my customers you cant repair a car baist on what its worth.

id say just sort out whats needed to be a nice usable car and enjoy it and keep it as an asset
