Default 1990 Mercury Grey S2 Recommission - Very Pic Heavy.

Been meaning to get round to this for months.

I swapped my 1981 Spitfire for my Series 2 in November, and have been bringing her back over the last few month. Ive gone for a stock exterior, with fully chromed engine bay, and near stock interior. Been no expense spared, and nigh on everything has been replaced or renewed where needed.
Its had welding in the past, but is a very clean example at the moment.
Future plans include renewing all the bushes, painting all the underside components, and a boot build.

Interior ;

Lockwood white dials
Nomad racing gauge holder, with Ford Racing oil, boost, volts
Aftermarket water temp gauge
Sony MP3/Usb Headunit
Hertz 4" in stock holders
Alpine D12 sub, power by a Philips Dab amp
Rear strut brace

Drivetrain ;

Ebc pads and discs
Gmax suspension, lowered 30mm
Goodridge braided hoses
AP Paddle clutch, lightened flywheel
B&M Short shift

Exterior ;

New 90 spec decal
Wheels refurbed in moondust silver, with Yokohama Parada Spec 2 tyres
New rear lights, headlights and ambers
Refinished spotlight brackets, with Unipart spots

Engine ;

Fully chromed using AS & Mirage products
Sparco strut brace
Pro Alloy front mount
Twin Spal fans
Airtec radiator
3" Scorpion with 4" tail
Cold air induction kit
Ahmed Bayoo Stage 1 Chip
Cosworth Plugs
Magnacore leads
Mahle pistons
Arp studs and bolts etc
Lightened crank
New sump
Uprated head gasket
Polished and ported inlet manifold & throttle body
Samco & Viper performance hoses
Bailey breather
82deg stat
R Spec dawes device, running 17psi
190bhp & 222lbft.

Yeah should of mentioned that.

At this moment in time, just drive it and show it. Gonna renew all the bushes and do a boot build over the winter if I keep her.

Cheers for all the kind comments guys, much appreciated. Hopefully get her out and about and to a few shows so you can see her in the metal, if she behaves herself.

^^^^ It is a talking point, and was gonna be the first thing I binned. But, its the original cap, with the chrome cover drilled and bolted to it. It would have meant having holes in to keep it with the one key, or replace it and have a separate key for the cap. So its staying for now, its a bit of retro 90's mod cool I guess
Was thinking of replacing the black bumper inserts with chrome.
