well i need to get the van sitting right on them leaf springs.
As its in the air now after losing a few pounds not sure the best route yet
flipping the axle or de cambering??? and then finish fabricating the rear end.
Engine wise really aint sure but want some sensible power lol

good job was thinking about doing this myself, however i would have cut the roof off a little differently, i think that straight cut behind the door looks odd, maybe a 15-20 degree angle would look better? plus i'd lose the 'roof hump' and fabricate a new roof.
did it have a single rear door or two? if single you could cut it the same height as the roof and hinge it from the bottom and use the top half to weld behind the cabin? just some ideas i had of doing one myself

Yeah i did look at possible ways of cutting, but didnt wanna cut too much of the supports away inside the cabbin. had 2 doors on the back so gonna replace with a single sheet of metal to keep weight down.

i have a mk4 escort pickup, i used the back doors as the back of the cab and then removed the centre posts to make a single rear window.also used the bottom of two more doors welded toghter to make a one piece tailgate.got some pics some where if your interested.

Quality, always thought about doing this myself, but if im honest i havnt got the bollox to go and hack half my van apart lol
maybe an escort estate boot hatch would be good for tje back? Just need to remove the window and fab some hinges?
To lower the rear, just take the leaf springs off the top of the axle and put them under it, job done.
