finally decided to do a thread on the escort! i know its not cossied but hey.

Bought her for £50 from a lady in my local town, had had since new.
The car had done 58k when i bought her and got given complete service history down to the original purchase order and receipt for the car.

She looked like this when i got her:
Fairly tidy a few scabbie bits but nothing major.


Handling like a boat, she needed slamming,
So a trip to rally design was needed.
A single box exhaust, -180lb springs and some lowering blocks improved it slightly,


After blowing the original 58k engine up, i decided to put in a 1700 crossflow, and have some body work done too!










Custom front bumpers


Due to lack of money and other issues, the mk2 got neglected for a while

However,
Last night was spent servicing the twin DHLA 40's that are going on, along with:
Bilstein Coilovers
Capri 2lt rad
Anti dive kit
Full set of poly bushes
4 point harnesses
Halogen lights

will all arrive on monday, so by next weekend the car will be completely different to drive!

Next cosmetic change, new wheels

will update next week!

i said to her what did she want for it and she said £50 so gave her all the money i had on me which was about 65 quid and she even gave the money to charity!

it does definitely turn heads!
most people think its my fellas/brothers/friends

i find i get 3 takes when people look at the car, one cause its a mk2 escort, one cause i'm only 22 and the final one because i'm a woman!

even the copper that gave me a section 59 for going sideways in to a meet, was surprised it was driven by a girl lol!!

this is my 3rd mk2 now! and none of them i have paid over 60quid for!

plz what ever u do dont stick a cossie lump in it unless it going to be turbo'd sold my mk1 with a 1730 x-flow twin 45s and so on to a mate who stuck a n/a cossie in it spent ££££ on the conversion and only got 26bhp more was your car a 1600 auto by any chance if so keep the diff as its agood all rounder
