I thought I would post my mk1 ford Capri restoration.
It currently has a cosworth YB in it aswell. Feel free to ask any questions.

Yes it is panther black. It was originally going to have white racing stripes aswell but i decided against it after seeing how the black came out.
I really, really dont like small wheels plus I needed big alloys for the uprated disc brakes on.
The engine is a cosworth yb and I will post pictures of the engine aswell asap. Next week the quad headlights and windows will be put back in along with the grill and numberplate to start the finishing touches.

Ive got several types of alloys actually for this car but at the moment those are the ones that are on the car at the present. Funny you should mention the minilites I do have some 15s knocking around in my shed.
I thought id add another picture from the back and Ill get some engine shots up on Saturday hopefully.

I am loving this, this thread made me join the siteI have just picked up a wrecked 4 door Sierra Cosworth with all the running gear to put in my Mk1 Capri shell.
What did you need to do to convert the YB and t5 box in to the Mk1? I would be keen to see some updates on this old posts and hopefully some engine pics. Bring it back to life!

Stage 3 ish power hoping for 330 to 340. Has greens, new chip in an l6 ecu, new custom sports exhaust, -31 actuator, bailey swirl pot and breather, grp a headgasket, t3 with 360 thrust bearing, 3 bar map sensor. Has a manual t5 gearbox.
Engine bay had to be modified a bit to fit it with the front slam panel cut out for the intercooler and a little taken out for the battery.
