Default Raleigh Chopper's... Much call for them??... Pic Added

Just dug a Mk3 Raleigh Chopper out from my mates garage and he has given it to me. Fuck knows what to do with it. Do I sell it or restore it and keep?..... Needs new brakes and rechroming in places but apart from that in very good nick. Not exactly my cuppa tea Im into BMX's mostly. Just wondered what you guys thought.....

BTW not a for sale post, doubt any of you guys would be into this kinda thing anyway.....

Is this not the repro model from the late 90s early 00s?

The 70s jobbies fetch the money IIRC...

its not an original one as it has no gear shift on the cross bar
so its not worth much

i had an original one for years. i got it when i was 8. 1983. an sold it in 2004 for 200 quid to a bloke up the road. the twat gave it to his kid and it ended up wrecked

Yes I have been reading up today. Raleigh re-introduced them calling them the Mk3.....

Raleigh say:
The Mk3, in deference to modern safety concerns, adopts a more conventional saddle design to discourage "backies," and has dropped the groin-catching gear lever in favour of handlebar mounted gear controls – to commemorate this former feature the Mk3 has a sticker where once the lever had its place.
Its The GENUINE "Raleigh Chopper" Just the newer version.......
