wrc rear cradle
little update.........
last week i ad a chat wiv mark from MK MOTORSPORT...
so i went up 2 see him 2day.
wot a top bloke! his designs an craftmanship blow my mind
i cudnt believe the things mark made!!
after a long chat 2 work out which route i was headin in...
i headed home wiv a big smile on my face
wiv a MK MOTORSPORT wrc style rear set-up on order!!!!!!!

made a jig so i can turn car over an start on the under side ov the floor!
tex flex`d all the joint an put a coat ov stone guard on just 2 se how it looks!
i used my new air sealer gun an it came out thick as f++k lol,
so not happy how it looks, but iv got 2 weld a new section across the rear floor anyway wen i get my cradle so i can leave it as it is 4 now
an remove it all at a later date

gartrak build this conversion 20+ years ago so if anythin me an u r copyin there ideas!
an 2 b truthfully it was wennys car that made me want2 built 1!
also i thought passionford was a ford site that people share ideas an help each other out??

im not having a dig or making insults fair play to you for building it !!
none of us can lay claim to doing anything new so to speak is all been done by someone else before ( although gartrac didnt fit this wrc setup rear ends mate , they used live axels as in the mk1/2 escs ),
dont worry bout spesh mate , hes just having a bit of fun , if us pushing things forward a little made you take the plunge and fit the wrc rear then cushty , ive no issuses with it im all for being different!!!
and i do my best to help everyone mate , you of all folk should know that when i stopped and chatted with you at pod
keep doing what your doing bud , plenty in this world for everyone lol
and as always , if theres out i can do to help im only a pm away

yeah , prob we had is that they never been fitted to a mk three lol ,
so it was a case of trying to balance the setup for a road based car ,
if its going to be a track car i reckon u goind go with standing them vertically in the car with a few degrees of camber in them
mark will steer you right with measurements ,
ideally mate , save yourself the hassel , get all the setup together , cradle, hubs , shocks and wheels ect ,
build it all up and then deternin the height of the turrets ect ,
if you going with a cage ect id tie into them for sure

rear arch
made a start on the n/s rear arch.
i removed an refited the new inner an outer!
not 100% finished yet but i will leave it as it is 4 now so i can get the driver side arch done & then finish them & get them in primer

im just waitin on a rear lower corner panel new then i can
get the rear end in primer!
