Spraying my rs turbo wheels....
Hi, i am sprying my rs turbo wheels white soon and just want to see if my process is right....
Sand down and tape up tyre (done already)
Prime the wheel (2 cans for 4 wheels)
Lightly sand them when dry
Can of white paint on each (4 cans)
Laquer when dry (1 can for 4 wheels)
Is this right?

Light coat = less chance of running, but personally found taking a coat to the brink of running meant the laqure sat better than if it was to light which seemed to result in orange peel effect??
Guessing as Twins says, get enough on but not to much.
I also found clingfilm ideal for wrapping the tyres then tape the edges up by the rim and use a hair dryer to shrink the film to a snug fit. Quick and easy.

i like the cling film idea i have a piece of cardboard with a round hole cut in it for that. I dust coat until the colour is right then 1 or 2 heavier coats to get the finish right then if needed flat and polish, give it a good panel wipe then lacquer to death for that deep deep shine.
