Exclamation Need help!! Oil light on.

Hi lads, I've just put a engine into my frst, doesn't seem to hold oil pressure, oil light came on wen I started da car, it said it's about 11psi on da gauge at max and wen I rev it it goes up to 25psi maybe more and the oil light goes off, took the oil feed off the turbo and it just splutered out oil.. I've put a oil cooler kit on too and hav made sure to keep the air locks out.. Does anyone have any tips that will help me find out what the problem is, p.s. It seems to pump oil fine as checked it for that.. Thanks lads..

Either your guage or the pressure switch is lying. Try another oil pressure switch becasue your guage (seems) to be working akthough the idle pressure is a little lower than I would like.

The two of them work together coz when it at 11psi the light comes on, but when I rev her it goes up to 30 and the light goes off, the normal switch worked fine on the old engine and the gauge never went below 32psi I think, would the oil pump not be good enuf for the oil cooler kit.. The pipes are very big too.. I have the gauge on the remote oil filter and the light on the dash goes onto the the T that comes out of the block to the turbo.. Haven't a clue what's going on.

Maybe if the pipes are very wide then the pump will not be able to move enough fluid to maintain pressure. Can you look at a good quality high capacity pump or maybe the piping on the oil cooler could be changed?
