My s2 rs turbo restore
i have owned the car for just over a year and can say im done and happy with it now few little bits like front foglamps etc but its done and im well chuffed, i bought the car off a chap that had it standing for over 5yearz only coverd 80k but was a mess cant belive i drove back from manchester it some how had 12month mot anyways back to the car its had new driver side wing front pannel new front bumper and few little weld ups i done the car has been done inside out but only done with black paintable stoneguard 3m stuff as i use it evry day and have been doing so for the past year iv uploaded a little collection of whats been done and its restore enjoy all comments welcome
paintwork was all pitting and flaking bodykit was hanging off in places bumper had cracks in it and was dreadfully painted rear lights were different shades drivers wing had huge holes in the bottom as it was not sealed before welded on before engine was a mess gearbox was crunchin whinning suspension was all knakerd bearings car neede some serious tlc lol
car then got fully taken back to original primer and started fresh with a new coat of grey primer over the car and all kit bumpers new arches inner outer both sides welded up and fully sealed door locks welded up original battery and fuse trays as were treated from new or sometime in its life which was a big bonus small plate welded to back pannel
now it was time for my deepest choice of radiant red looks so fresh all engine bay boot floor and door shuts were sprayed and laqured to give it the high gloss finish which looks great
now for all the fun stuff putting it back together and adding all the new goodies i had been building up for it
new gmax supersport with 30mm drop
ford front lower arms
track rod ends
strut top mount bushes bearings
sump gasket stem seals crank seal
new recon gearbox 1.8d box
new started and alternator
airbox pannel k&n
vernier pully kent cam
magecore leads
new rear lights
clears at front
forge double intercooler
pace radiator
red samcos boost water anciallry
i never did no major engine mods as i wanted it as my daily driver so did want it more standard in that way
as it stands today all done
sorry about some of the pics resized hope you like
