Just came across this thread

Looking mint, never realised there was a 3-door so close to me.

Your swirl pot WILL melt in the oven mate, if you buy a new pattern tank it'll have metal inners and you won't have the problem.

To be honest mate there only Ł70 and for the time you've spent on yours I'd of bought one.

My stuff is in for powder coat also but I've used a place up in Cramlington as I could'nt find anyone local.

I'll have to have a look at Bettablast as I'm wanting my front steering knuckles and Anti-roll bar doing in Black

Keep up the good work!!!

I've been painting today also, I've done the head and the ABS block

mike changed my mind about powder coating the tank, going to be zinc'ed then wet painted 2k,not as durable as powdercoating but theres not many options.

the tank should be back this week from being repaired,i never thought about using another tank as i had heard people have and problems with them.
i would deffo give bettablast a go mate i wont take mine anywhere else now,ask for billy tell him i recommended him,if you need to see his work your more than welcome to come and have a look.

Okey Doke

It'll be a good few weeks yet for the Black stuff.

Next job is to get the gearbox rebuilt, new clutch, zinc plate some bits and then I'm ready to put the engine back in.

I've had a quick look on there website and it looks like they do a huge range of colours. I'm after Candy Apple Red for my rocker cover

I'll have to pop over sometime and have a look, I'm sure I've seen your car once before around Wrekenton on standard wheels, not many round on E plate

That's who I was going to use, I've not used him before, not far past Martha's Vineyard I believe. Hastings something....

I asked him how much it would cost roughly and the turn around time and he would'nt tell me until he seen how much stuff I had

What does he 'typically' charge and how long does he take?
