looks sweet as mate, and exactly what im gona to have to do to mine soon lol, did u blend the paint into the joining panels when u painted the doors or was the colour match good? i bought some basecoat from there a while back for my gfs car and the colour match was pretty poor doh

Had a few hours on it yesterday, fitted new ford bearing into rear hub carriers, painted and cleaned them also.Just waiting for my toe in shims to arrive so that i can fit them.
Also new brakes arrived today.Evo 8 brembos and 330mm discs.
Hopefully have the beam bolted back on this weekend.

yes, stripped it with a wire wheel on a grinder and hammerite smoothrited it.Not the best of results, but the beam was badly pitted and the places around my area who do powdercoating are crap,so going to get a decent condition beam to start with and get that powdercoated eventually.

I've found that life I needed.. It's HERE!!
What paint did you use on the beam/ shafts etc?
You have inspired me to do mine! I have wanted to do it for ages but not had the room and time. Finally got it on stands and going to make a start on sunday.

getting there at last! have now used 1 litre of celly 1 pack spray painting it and a litre of laquer so far, more updated pics to follow when the weather dries up![/QUOTE]
Did you cut a piece off a breaker and weld it in?
#55
No mate, just spent ages shapeing a piece to look like original. It would have been much easier to cut one from a breaker though if i could have found one!
Sorry about the delayed reply regarding what paint i used! I ended up painting the beam with smoothrite hammerite as i couldnt get a good enough finish with 2 pack as it was too thin. The underbody is sprayed with halfords celloluse paint, its pretty good and only £20 a litre.

Back on its wheels at last! Dummy fitted rouse boot spoiler.
Started on bodywork.removing dents etc.
Gave the boot floor a clean up and a respray.
Dummy fitted the rouse front splitter, not a good fit though so probably fit the rs500 one i have.
Got to crack on with the bodywork now then get it painted, then interior, then engine tidy up etc etc!
