Here's my MK6 Escort van, originally 1.8D, bought this to use for work, soon got tired of diesel and this is result..
It's fully "home built" and wicked fun..

First was 2.0 ZT with GT30...


..using Skyline Nismo pump,

..new headlining, seats, carpet and some audio..




..then came custom Gaz coilovers and some wheels..




..Then had issue with oil pump and engine was Scrap!
Decided to build new 2.1 ZT with some more umphhh..



..and this is it now!






Curently running stg3 T4, external wastegate...and 18psi
and in everyday use!

WOW what a sleeper van! Bet that must upset plenty! How does it handle the power as it looks FWD to me.

it is FWD, I got ib5 box with modified ratios and LSD..
4th gear wheelspins at 100mph..
it's very violent!

was thinking of doing this to one of our work vans when diesel engine goes but turn it round and bolt a 2wd cossie box to it as easy to make tunnel in van as rear deck is high enough anyway and as the rear floor is flat should be easy to make mounting points up for box

That's what I was thinking next, but using volvo axle..or 4 wheel drive from mondeo..

..GT30 on order, just waiting for that to turn up and then new down pipe and external wastegate set up to make..
van be going to paint in 2 weeks..nothing special, just respray in diamond white with black roof..

May I ask if you have a 0-60? Also, doesn't torque steer snap your thumbs off?

ib5 seems o.k..Alcon 6 paddle, no slipping

Tourque steer isn't too bad with grippier Yoko Parada rubber..you get use to it

Cool if it becomes a problem or restriction then the mk5/6 td and rs2ks came with mtx75, bigger flywheel too! straight swap

yeah, know that..then you need to add LSD..mtx ratios are better as well? and would it ude 2.0 zetec flywheel? can i run FRS box with zetec 2.0 flywheel or would i need FRS one?

what injectors are you running? smart van!

yeah, 2.0 litre zetec fly, or FRS fly, and a FRS clutch all 240 mm, frs box has quaife atb, or you can buy an atb from the states for around 400 quid and fit it very easily yourself.

MS is easy if you follow the instrutions and have it wired up correctly

hi it was the crank trigger you have to set the resistor pot in the ecu and with not having an oscilloscope to help it was a pain and never mind trying too set the gap for the sensor on the custom 36-1 trigger wheel

never had similar problem. I just adjusted pot manually..I've done few MS set up's now, with OEM trigger wheels or 36-1 trigger wheels..never had proplems. I think MS is very under rated! I like the whole "diy" attitude..
