Dutch rs turbo trackcar
After (almost) finishing my first rs turbo a bit of a concour car
This one
I wanted to build a track car. I have worked for 4 years on the circuit for various racingteams, but never driven around the circuit myself. But that's about to change as i'm building myself a trackcar now
The plans are the following:
Mk4 rs turbo is the base and keep licence plates
- Megasquirt first on std engine, just to learn megasquirt and keep the costs a bit lower
- GRS intercooler
- Airtech radiator
- Gaz coilovers
- Top mounts
- Adjusable track control arms
- Front cosworth calipers with ds2500
- Rear cosworth calipers with ds2500
- rollcage
- bucketseats of course
- full powerflex suspension
Also i'm sandblasting the whole suspension just because it works much nicer when everything is clean
Base car is this one
Chassis isn't the best, so good for a trackcar
So engine out and started stripping the car
After that we give the car a nice new color and to try to stop the rust
Come'on it's a ford
Inside
After the paint it was time for the first parts to go on, so started with front suspension
Coilovers for the rear
Top mounts in place
Also a photo of the trail fit of the rear brakes
Next update will take a will probably, because megasquirt order is in hands of the foreign costums and the rear suspension has to be sandblasted. As i'm doing it myself i costs lots of time
