Just be carefull on peoples descriptions, there idea of good condition could be a notchy/horrible box that works.

The T5 is not nice if its not spot on.

You'll certainly be needing those brakes now. Looking good. 500 bhp and rwd. Your going to get some pleasure, and pain with that. When I converted mine to rwd I left the 4x4 rear end in including the 7" diff. Its going to blow both 7 and 7.5 anyway.

Have you got the right cradle for the gearbox mount to fit the 4x4 shell?

6177696 is the Finis code from Fords.

From memory it wasn't too expensive to buy, about Ł17+ VAT I think.

You may find that it won't line up at first when you offer it up as mine certainly didn't but all I did with mine was drill 2 holes inline with the centre mounting bolt hole and it slotted straight in!

You may have to cut/drill a section out to allow the speedo cable to pass through as it gets in the way. It did on mine anyway!

Looking good mate

The engine will be strong, and if Mark maps it, it will destroy your T5 very quickly - I'm going to a similar spec as you, and I've got a Tremec

Is that a boost controller in your last pic? The SM4 has built in boost control

Its an apexi AVC-r boost controller, its on SM2, not SM4, and i have been advised that the boost control facility on the sm2 is a little dated/not up too much, so that should help, i can also limit the boost in 1st, 2nd and 3rd to help it grip with it.
Mark's map is already on the ecu .

Just popped up to the car to deliver some bits, did a few little jobs when i was there.

Tried the apexi in its new home

The new ProSport gauges in, haven't attempted the wiring yet

And got my swirl pot from cossiedrift today, it had been in my position all of an hour before it got deBlinged! Mucked about with my old 4x4 hoses to get that fitted

Should have a good weekend on it this weekend, with any luck.

i want to keep it unstressed so it lasts, and also drivable!
Plus the fastest rwd car i have driven so far has been an M3 or tvr 350, i need to break myself in gently! ha.

Had a busy day today, done a fair few bits.
Good old Brom got the box in while i took a pinto to Camarthen yesterday..........

In New Ford cradle (thinks to Kitchen Devil for the finis code on that ) with flo flex mount.

Bosch sensor for the AEM gauge is in

And the gauge is mounted

Cooling system is near enough finished now
Bailey tank, of course, black!

Massive job, alloy pulley on PAS pump is on

Downpipe is wrapped and on, happy to report the 4x4 one fit with no issues
Redundant lamda sensor still in there

Plumbed the apexi control valve in

Also ripped the standard loom out and wired the gauges up to the sensors and stuff, Coming along slowly.

Little bit more done tonight, wasn't really in the mood as i feel rough as a bears arse.

Did the thermostat housing ti heater matrix hose, god knows how this is supposed to go on a 2wd, but mine now has this.

Also got the spec R DV fitted, massive job, i know.

And my oil is here, thanks to B13 Jus off here

Fitted the new starter

And i wired the ProSports and AEM gauges up, so had to have a quick test to see what they are like, as said, i am ill, so ignore my darth vader like breathing.
Obviously the one flashing red and making a racket is oil pressure, as its not running, it thinks there isn't any, so is showing the alarm.

Postman brought me some more goodies today.....

didn;t want to do aeroquip, because i don't like the red and blue fittings, but the fuel rail on the new engine is adapted to aeroquip, i was going to change the rail, but then discovered Torques do the stealth black stuff, win.

so had a quick test fit,

Started to run it down the car so i could cut it to length, then got to the pump end and realized it made a miss judgment, i got all the fittings to fit into the 044, forgot the line comes out of the filter, D'OH!!
Oh well, sure i can find a way round it, also made another fuck up, order oil hose to do the breather, i measured that i wanted 14mm, all that was available is 13 or 15mm, i decided id rather it a little tight, so bought 13mm, will it go on............nope, not a chance :'(, fooking car is going to be on fire if it pisses me off any more.

He's doing most of the work, i was in a shitty mood and all sorts of things where doing my head in the other night, mainly fuel lines and the oil hose that won't fit.
Had a mass spending spree now though, new oil hose is here, clutch cable ordered, and an airtec 70mm cooler, amongst other things i cant remember.
Just need a 2wd diff, shafts and an air filter now, i think?

Cheers Glenn, i'm not too keen on the "opening ceremony" they do, but you can stop that apparently.
Meant to be pretty good gauges though, i do like the alarm feature, going to bring you attention to any problems fairly quickly.
